What's often missing is knowing how to translate and apply those skills in a professional context that operates very differently from academia. This two-part program is designed to help you make that leap with confidence.

Part 1: Full-Day Workshop | November 5, 2026 | 9am to 5pm | In-person

Part 2: VIP Networking Event | November 9 | 4pm to 6pm | Online
Put your new skills into practice at this exclusive online event, where you'll apply the networking strategies from the workshop in real time. You will connect directly with professionals across a range of careers who are students of previous SciPhD programs and start building the relationships that can help open doors as you move into your next role. 

Disclaimers

  • Attendance to the in-person event is required to attend the VIP networking event. 
  • Space is limited to 100 Postdoctoral Fellows currently employed at any University of Michigan campus (Ann Arbor, Flint, or Dearborn). 
  • The OPA is excited to invite you to this one of a kind opportunity with our invited speaker Dr. Randall Ribaudo, co-founder of SciPhD at no cost to you (estimated value: $200/participant).
  • A confirmation email will be sent to you the week of October 19. If you are unable to confirm your attendance, we will invite wait listed registrants to join.
