Make a Gift
From science, medicine, and engineering to liberal arts and humanities, postdoctoral fellows contribute to advancements in nearly every school and college at U-M, performing critical research functions for their teams.
If you are interested and able to give any amount to the University of Michigan postdoctoral fellow program, OPA has two funds:
Dr. Raoul Kopelman Fellowship Fund
This graduate student fellowship is established in honor of Dr. Raoul Kopelman whose pioneering research covering a wide spectrum of nanoscience, from nanochemistry to nanomedicine, has been of high societal impact. This fellowship will support Rackham graduate students and postdoctoral fellows conducting research in the nanosciences, including disciplines such as chemistry, physics, bioengineering, and biomedicine.
Office of Postdoctoral Affairs Fund
Gifts in this area provide the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs with resources to support the professional development and well-being of University of Michigan postdocs.
Make Your Gift Go Further
Become a sustaining donor and multiply your impact. Right now, all new monthly gifts are being matched 1:1, up to $100 per month. When you start your gift before July 2026, it will be matched for 12 months, doubling your generosity each month and providing steady support that Rackham students can count on as they pursue their research, discoveries, and dreams.
For example, a commitment of $25 per month becomes $600 over a year with the match—enough to send a student to a professional conference and open doors to new opportunities.
Both your gift and the matching funds will be included when recognizing you in the Honor Roll in spring 2026, celebrating the powerful difference you make in students’ lives.
